All month I’ve been going to the new skatepark in town since it opened to try my hand at photographing skaters. It’s been an amazing experience so far! I’m there 2-3 times a week now and even though I’m backed up on editing photos from there, I keep going. I’m gearing up for the grand opening on November 2nd.
A little over a week ago when I was there, I was in the right spot of the skatepark at the right time. The sun was going down and there was this beautiful orange/yellow glow and I got some gorgeously lit shots that evening. The best part is that I caught this on video as well, and posted a short, 55-second POV video with some of the images I captured.
I’m dying to get more photos like these, but sometimes you can’t plan for them to happen. In this case, I definitely didn’t plan for it. I’m just glad that I saw the shot and took it.
