For as long as I can remember, I have been in tune with that overactive imagination of mine. I’ve been writing fictional stories since the age of 12 when I wrote my first short story, Homework Helpers, for a creative writing assignment in middle school. I’m glad to say that I’ve come a long way in my writing skills. I published my first young adult novel, Standing By, last year.
I work as a librarian in northwest Connecticut and I just graduated with my Masters in Library and Information Science (on my birthday, in fact!). However, I am really looking forward to getting back to the writing desk!
When I’m not busy with some kind of work it’s safe to say that you can either find a book or a camera in my hands. In the past I’ve produced a number of sports videos, but more recently I have settled comfortably into the book photography community on Instagram, otherwise known as bookstagram. I also enjoy visiting new places. A few of my favorites have been Burlington and Stowe, Vermont, Buffalo, New York, and Salisbury, North Carolina. One of the items on my bucket list is to visit all 50 states.
I blog semi-regularly over at orangeowldiaries, which I started halfway through my undergraduate studies. It’s my space on the Internet where I talk about anything and everything as well as participate in fun tags and occasionally post book reviews (though I’m working to make that a more regular feature).
