For as long as I can remember, I have been in tune with that overactive imagination of mine. I’ve been writing fictional stories since the age of 12 when I wrote my first short story, Homework Helpers, for a creative writing assignment in middle school. I’m glad to say that I’ve come a long way in my writing skills. I published my first young adult novel, Standing By, in the summer of 2018.
I work as a librarian in northwest Connecticut and I just graduated with my Masters in Library and Information Science in 2019 (on my birthday, in fact!). However, I am really looking forward to getting back to the writing desk!
When I’m not busy with some kind of work it’s safe to say that you can either find a book or a camera in my hands. In the past I’ve produced a number of sports videos, but more recently I have settled comfortably into the book photography community on Instagram, otherwise known as bookstagram. I also enjoy visiting new places. A few of my favorites have been Burlington and Stowe, Vermont, Buffalo, New York, and Salisbury, North Carolina. One of the items on my bucket list is to visit all 50 states.
From 2012 to 2019 I blogged over at orangeowldiaries, which I started halfway through my undergraduate studies on a whim. It was my space on the Internet where I talked about anything and everything as well as participate in fun tags and occasionally posted book reviews. However, due to life and wanting to focus more on my career and writing, I have decided to stop blogging there, though I will leave it up for anyone to enjoy previous content.
Stay cute!
