Julie is the youngest child of Mike and Cindy Williams and was born and raised in Clearmont.  She grew up across the street from her best friend, Alex, and has literally been friends with him since they were in diapers.  This has formed a pretty much unbreakable bond between the two, as they just ‘get’ each other when no one else does.

Not wanting to be in the shadow of her siblings, Julie has made sure to make her own name in school.  It worked out well as she excelled at different subjects than her siblings and didn’t get into quite as much trouble as her brothers, as well as being the one to make the middle school soccer team a co-ed team so she could play.

Though she loves her siblings, growing up with four of them has caused her to be more reserved when it comes to meeting new people; the soccer field being the only exception to this rule.  It was through soccer that she met Eric and Seth, and it wasn’t quietly.  She had been upset that they were allowed to join the middle school team mid-season, despite the fact they did need some good players, and because of her argument she immediately became rivals with the twins. Over time she slowly formed a friendship with Seth, as they worked together on the field and on the school newspaper, but she remained at frenemy status with Eric.

Julie fell in love with writing at a young age, though she has a stronger suit for article writing than fiction, and prefers it that way.  She’d rather write a dissertation than have to speak in front of a crowd.  Her talent for writing didn’t go unnoticed by her teachers, and it was her 7th grade English teacher who recruited her for the middle school newspaper.  By the time she entered high school Julie already knew that she’d want to study journalism in college.
