Hello again friends!

It’s about time I update you on what’s going on with my book, yeah?

Like the title of this post says, the edits are all finished up and the very first proof copy of my book has been ordered.  It’s a little hard to believe I’ve gotten this far, and it probably won’t seem real until I have that copy in my hands.

Editing was quite a process.  That’s not to say it was hard – it’s just long and tedidious.  It’s safe to say that I will take ‘Editor’ off my list of possible future careers (despite the fact that I did the second round of editing for my book).  What I found helped me with editing was reading the book aloud, which made it easier to catch mistakes and phrases that didn’t sound right.  I had a fun time with the final read-through and even tried out different voices for my characters.

Once my book was all edited, I got it formatted up to the template that I got off of CreateSpace and uploaded it (a few times) to make sure it would look right for submission and ordering the first copy.  Now all I’ll have to do is format the book for Kindle, approve of the print book, then publish my baby!

This is where it gets real exciting.
